Food was excellent! Had the fajitas. Waitres was not attentive and could have been better. They did not serve salsa until I asked for it. The brand of corn tortillas was not the best. They where warm but got cold and brittle quickly. The flower tortillas were good. Over all it was a good experience.

We stopped to get our meal to go and had a delicious GIANT margarita while waited. The food was delicious, right down to the to the beans and rice. The stuffed pineapple dish will get me back many more times.

We stopped in for dinner after skiing at Winter Park all day. We were hungry and Los Portales did not disappoint us. I had chicken enchiladas with black beans and rice. My wife had a substantial burrito bowl with nicely sautéed veggies. The service was very friendly and prompt. This little place is a gem in Minocqua which doesn’t have much in the way of ethnic food. Highly recommended!

Doesn’t look much from the outside, but inside is very nice and tastefully decorated. One of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever eaten in, and I ate in a lot of them over the last 60 years. Had Mexico Lindo and it was just amazing. Wife had vegetarian burrito and just loved it. Service was top notch, super friendly, prices very reasonable.

Good 1st visit. Thought the house Margaritas were only average at best. Lunch chicken burrito was flavorful but had I known it was so small, I would have paid the extra $1 for the regular. Enchiladas were good with the crispy chicken.

Surprised. Always drove by this place thinking it wasn't going to be any good and I was surprised in the decor, the extensive, really extensive menu, and the food was superb. I will definitely go back again.
